The Emulate Zoë-CM2™ Culture Module is now available at the organ-on-a-chip facility of the Department of Medical, Oral and Biotechnological Sciences (DSMOB), the first in Italy to use the Emulate™ technology

This technology mimics with high fidelity specific microenvironments of several organs, including lung, intestine, liver, kidney, brain. It is particularly suitable for drug testing, since it predicts with great accuracy human responses, better than animal models or spheroids. Studies on inflammation, pathogen infection, drug toxicity, tissue differentiation and cancer can be conducted with the Emulate™ organ-on-a-chip technology

For more details about the Zoë-CM2™ Culture Module and the organ-on-a-chip technology, please visit the Emulate™ (https://emulatebio.com) and the Wyss Institute (Boston, MA, USA), world leader in the field of the Organ-on-a-Chip technology (https://wyss.harvard.edu/technology/human-organs-on-chips/), websites

The activities are coordinated by Dr. Roberto Plebani, a former Wyss visiting scholar

The DSMOB is open to collaborations
